About me
Cardenas School is a Pre-K through 8th grade school with three buildings and approximately 800 students located in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. We focus on developing and implementing curriculum that focuses on all learners: general education, diverse learners, and English learners. Our teachers have developed literacy units, math units, and a writing framework aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Additionally, teachers have developed grammar scope and sequences in grades PK-3 along with social studies units aligned to the Illinois Social Sciences Standards and Science units aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards.
