School leaders will explore how multilingual learner learning cycles from this year’s ILT Institutes can support school improvement priorities and strengthen Effective Instruction. Rather than a resource tour, this session will help participants connect three ready-to-use learning cycles (knowing learners deeply through Learner Portraits, making language demands visible, and strengthening culturally responsive task design) to the instructional work already happening in their schools. Participants will identify an entry point aligned to their context and leave with a possible next step for using the learning with an ILT, PLC, teacher team, or school-based professional learning structure.
