As generative AI becomes increasingly embedded in schools, leaders face new opportunities and new responsibilities. This interactive session explores how principals, assistant principals, and resident principals can thoughtfully leverage AI as a leadership thought partner while protecting relational trust, instructional quality, equity, and human judgment.

Through authentic leadership scenarios, collaborative discussion, and reflection, participants will examine how AI-generated communication and decision-making tools may unintentionally reproduce bias, deficit thinking, or inequitable patterns if not critically reviewed through an equity-centered lens. Leaders will explore where AI can strengthen communication, instructional leadership, strategic planning, and organizational coherence — and where caution, transparency, and human discernment remain essential.

Grounded in the guiding question, “What leadership work can be responsibly supported by AI — and what leadership work must remain deeply human?” participants will leave with practical protocols, reflection tools, and actionable strategies for leading responsibly in an AI-rich environment while maintaining inclusive, culturally responsive, and human-centered school communities.
