How can we move from simply informing families to actively co-authoring school solutions with them? This interactive, professional learning session explores how school leaders can foster inclusive, community-driven decision-making that centers local voices. We will examine real-world, CPS school-based case studies and school leader testimonials demonstrating successful, two-way communication methods and collaborative partnership models in action.
Participants will engage in a hands-on, mock "co-design workshop" to experience these engagement protocols firsthand. You will leave this session equipped with a practical toolkit of actionable artifacts—including community meeting planning templates, feedback loop protocols, and shared decision-making matrices—that you can immediately adapt to build trust and shared responsibility in your own school community.
