SY27 Summer Leadership Development: Lead & Learn Forum

Participants will explore how to move beyond compliance to ensure every young English Learner experiences both Meaningful Access to content and intentional Language Growth in the context of E-ELD (Early English Language Development) 3.0 modules. By grounding the work in the EL Addendum 2.0, leaders will define clear "look-fors" within Domain 1 to evaluate whether teachers are planning for specific language interactions and participation.
Leaders will shift from observing instruction in the moment to understanding the intentional planning decisions that support language development and access. Participants will also consider how to monitor and sustain this work through existing school structures, including collaborative planning, classroom look-fors, professional learning, and CIWP priorities, to support consistent and equitable practice across classrooms.
