This session will support principals and assistant principals in strengthening their ability to lead through adult conflict, tension, and strained team dynamics in a way that protects relationships while still addressing impact and accountability. School leaders are often responsible for creating emotionally safe adult learning spaces, yet they are also required to interrupt behaviors, assumptions, and communication patterns that can harm collaboration, trust, and progress toward schoolwide goals.
Participants will learn how to structure restorative conversations with adults before tension escalates into avoidance, mistrust, team dysfunction, or formal discipline. The session will provide leaders with a practical framework for preparing participants, setting clear norms, facilitating the conversation, and helping adults reflect on their assumptions, intentions, impact, and next steps.
