When Students Need Each Other: Interdependent Task Design for Multilingual Learners:
This session equips school leaders with practical strategies to support teachers in designing collaborative, interdependent tasks that strengthen language development and student agency for multilingual learners. Leaders will explore what it looks like when students truly need one another to think, talk, and build meaning, and how these practices can be elevated within existing Skyline ELA lessons. Participants will learn concrete ways to guide teachers in adapting materials, embedding oracy routines, and creating language‑rich collaborative structures that align to Skyline’s vision for empowered, grade‑level learning. Leaders will leave with actionable look‑fors and coaching moves to strengthen implementation across classrooms.
