Leaders will learn about math discourse strategies that complement high quality math instructional materials and ways to support teachers in planning and implementing them to enrich the daily student experience. Through these discourse and writing strategies, students will make their thinking transparent, build on the ideas of others, and learn to respectfully challenge ideas. These strategies support sense-making, language development, and access for all students, especially multilingual learners and students with disabilities. A focus on math discourse in the classroom places students at the center of the learning.

I love supporting teachers, coaches, and administrators in thinking about Math -- how we create access for all learners, how we plan and engage in high quality tasks, and how we reflect to determine "just in time supports."
